With the development of network and science technology，digital museum will be an inexorable trend of the development of museum. The visualization of cultural relics not only means the digitalization and exhibition of the cultural relics antitypes in the digital museum，but also the historical information behind the digitalized cultural relics should be transferred to the audience. Based on the research of the development of digital museum，several technological methods to digitalize the cultural relics are concluded in this paper. Then the methods to visualize material and nonmaterial cultural heritages are given. Finally a development trend of visualization technology for digital museums is discussed.
