Several population events occurred in China in 2009，leaving people to consider the conflict and communication among polluters，victims and governmental agencies. It implies the necessity and urgency to further realize and accept the knowledge and methodology of environmental health risk assessment （EHRA）. In this paper the fundamentals and approaches of EHRA are briefly introduced while current problems analyzed and discussed on lagged application of EHRA approaches and deficiency of relevant professional personnel in China.
