Legal education in China，which comprises of higher legal education，professional legal education and popularization of elementary legal knowledge，has developed into a relatively large-scale legal education system with a fairly rational structure and gradually improving quality of education. Nevertheless，some problems still exist in this system and therefore，it is necessary to take the scientific outlook on development as guidance to reflect upon the current status of the legal education in China and to adjust and improve legal education in terms of the mode，institutions，level，and quality of education. Currently，the emphasis of the rule of law in China is shifting from legislation to administration of justice. The development of legal education in China will inevitably reflect this tendency.
