This article is intended to elaborate the development and current situation of food safety supervision system in China，and analyze the problems still exist；introduce the food safety supervision systems in many foreign countries，such as United States，Japan，Australia，Canada，Germany and Denmark，especially from the aspect of work division and cooperation among government departments；and taking the United Kingdom，Ireland and the Czech Republic as examples，analyze the food safety supervision systems under the European mode，and provide experience to the reform of food safety supervision system in our country.
