Economic and trade cooperation between China and the East African Community （EAC） has been steadily improved in recent years. Affected by the negative factors in EAC like political unrest，weak infrastructures，power shortages and lack of highly qualified labor force，economic and trade cooperation between China and EAC is confronting huge challenges. To further enhance the in-depth development of bilateral economic and trade cooperation，it is inevitable to implement the principle of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation. In future，the Chinese government should encourage the domestic enterprises to actively participate in EAC’s agriculture，manufacturing and infrastructure construction，help African countries to achieve food self-sufficiency，improve their investment environment and enhance their international competitiveness. Meanwhile，implementation of localization strategy and fulfillment of corporate social responsibility by the Chinese enterprises should also be emphasized in EAC so as to lay a solid foundation for economic and trade cooperation between China and EAC.
