President Santos's "National Unity"coalition gained a favorite result in the Colombian municipal and regional elections results. The Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC) suffered a major blow.The center-left candidate to join the Cabinet caused tension within the ruling coalition. The Santos government promoted economic growth by conducting the reforms of mineral resources, of tax distribution system and of fiscal policy. President Santos signed the Victims Law and the Land Restitution in search for the way for the national reconciliation. The unemployment rate was decreased to single digit. However, the Government's education reform plan fell into stagnation. The Santos government was committed to promoting economic ties with Central and South American neighbors, especially the Pacific countries. The U.S. and Colombia Free Trade Agreement was passed by the Obama government. The Sino-Colombian relations gained a new development.
