As the shipping industry giant in the world，COSCO accept the corporate citizen idea early and implement it in the management principle. COSCO participated into the Global Compact by which they establish social responsibility management system and sustainable development information management system in order to implement social responsibility effectively. Recently，COSCO make some remarkable achievements，such as enhance efficiency，conserve resources，protect environment，treat their staff well，concern public welfare and so on. From 2006，COSCO published sustainable development report every year which presenting the enterprise citizenship construction activities to public.
