<<It is estimated that China has approximately 35 million middle class families with an annual income between 7500-25000 US dollars in 2006. The country also has 17.40 million single or married,educated professional women,and 600000 DINK families. The article analyses Chinese middle class,modern women and DINK families’ consumption patterns and life style from 8 aspects including luxury items,housing,leisure activities,travel,eating out,individual investment,media and online shopping. The conclusion is the three groups of people are the main driving force behind China’s consumption development and way of life despite the differences between the three groups. This is very crucial to future development and should not be overlooked.
