In order to safeguard the regular operation of transport and sound urban air quality during the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games and Asian Para Games and fulfill the Guangzhou’s commitment when bidding for the Asian Games，Guangzhou transportation departments fully assess the adaptability of current transport supply.Based on the forecast of transportation needs during 2010 Asian Games，this paper proposes sixteen proposals from the perspectives of controlling the overall demand of travel，guiding and adjusting travel structure，changing the travel spatial-temporal distribution and improving transport flowing order，and develops three combined scenarios from weak to strong as references for Guangzhou’s implementation Safeguards for 2010 Asian Games.
