In this paper，we mainly focus on the development of fixed-asset investment and the great achievement of urban construction investment in Guangzhou in recent 30 years of reform and opening up，following by socialist market economy system reform and investment system reform.In the recent 30 years，Guangzhou has made great achievement in the investment system reform，such as more multiplication of investment main body，more capital sources，more ways to invest，and more market-oriented of construction.Economic system being transformed from planned to market.The investment of fixed assets has grown up quickly，the gross of fixed-assets investment has been increased，and the investment structure has been optimized，all of this has maintained a good momentum of growth in the economic.Guangzhou put more investment to the city’s infrastructure construction.The investment of urban construction has grown up quickly.There has made great movement in urban planning，house building，traffic network，urban landscaping and the improvement of environment.There have so many changes in Guangzhou in recent 30 years which make it looks like a different city.
