China started both theoretical and practical exploration of construction of Eco-Cities in the 1970s，and has achieved fruitful results，which accelerated China’s urbanization and harmonized the development of urban economy，society and eco-environment. This paper makes comprehensive review on the process of construction of Eco-Cities，and especially focus on the latest development of 2008. The paper analyzes and summarizes experiences and problems as well.Finally，the authors make some policy recommendations for China’s building eco-cities in the future.
