After the handover，under the protection of “One Country，Two Systems”，Macao has continuously pursued bilateral and multilateral relations with the world，observed the obligations of international organizations，and further extended the international status of Macao. At present，Macao has participated in 13 intergovernmental organizations. In establishing relations with international organizations，Macao has jointly organized international conferences and activities，and cooperated in issues of common concern，which is beneficial for enhancing cooperation and communication among members.
