Since the establishment of the SAR government，the organization of the 4^thEast Asian Games has motivated sports development in Macao in diversified areas. With the increase of sporting venues，its citizens are becoming more aware of their participation in sports and its athletes are striving for achievements in international events，thus Macao sports has put its name on the map in just a few years. Considering the opportunities and challenges that Macao sports industry went through as it develops，not only does it need to obtain a balance between the development of competition sports and sports for all，but also to coordinate and follow up key issues such as Macao’s application for International Olympic Committee membership，continuous development of the sport tourism policy，and the proper management existing sports venues.
