China-Japan-ROK FTA negotiations, which have been long delayed, are expected to start in 2012. However, there still exist many disputes and differences among three countries on the establishment of the China-Japan-ROK FTA. Behind potentially huge economic benefits are hidden complicated political games around the China-Japan-ROK FTA. From the theoretical point of view of "power transfer", the analysis of China-Japan-ROK FTA should be placed in the context of the game between China and Japan as well as China and U.S. on the East Asian regional level. The change of Japan and Korea's perceptions of a rising China, determines their attitudes towards China-Japan-ROK FTA and corresponding policies.
