In 2020,China formally launched its first nationwide progressive electricity price scheme. The purpose of that program was to curb luxury electricity consumption,through A price signaling mechanism. Early results concerning the acceptance and affordability indicate that the impact thus far on price difference has been minimal.Therefore,the leveraging effect where energy consumption is concerned is not very obvious.However,with the framework now in place,future adjustments are possible and more easily achieved. <<
