Guangzhou Statistics Bureau conducted in March 2008 a sampling survey over the consumption decision-makers of 5000 permanent resident households living in 200 communities in the eight areas of Guangzhou by way of household investigation using the Resident Survey Network to understand the public view on income and consumption，living guarantee，living conditions，education，culture and medication，and the changes in household economic activity under the current economic situation.
