There have been dramatic transformation in both the production and larger social context of Chinese TV dramas since the beginning of the 21^st century.Many issues and problems have emerged within the thriving market.This paper systematically recapitulates the achievement of Chinese TV dramas production since the 21^st century.It also analyzes the existing issues and outcomes from two perspectives：production model and the choice of theme.Moreover，it combines new findings from the cultural studies of TV dramas and sheds light on the theme，production，significance and sincerity of modern TV dramas in China.
