With the rapid increase of China’s aging population, the society and the government have been facing increasing pressure caused by pension issues. In order to adjust the modern socio-economic and demographic structure, and relieve pressure on state pension spending, the government and scholars have repeatedly brought up the postponed retirement concept in 2013.In November 2013,“The Decision of the CPC Central Committee on Several Important Issues of Comprehensively Deepening Reform” by the Third Plenary Session of the 18
thCCP pointed out that the government should work hard to set up an incremental postponed retirement policy, which should be listed as a top-level design. The survey on the residents’ attitudes towards postpone retirement policy indicated that,in general, fifty percent of the respondents did not support the postponed retirement policy, and their attitudes were influenced by gender, age, occupation, household type, education level, and income. It turned out that there are still great challenges in taking specific measures in delay policy.
