In the year 2013，Beijing keeps speeding up the construction of national cultural center in the following ways：historic city and cultural heritage conservations are under steady progress；construction of the demonstration area of public cultural services system and cultural benefiting projects have made great achievements；especially the Cultural & Creative Industries’ vitality has been stimulated under the strategy of creative and design，Beijing as a ‘Capital of Design’ has turned a new page；with the emergence of a new consumption concept，cultural consumption has gradually manifested its great potential. This report generalizes the above new achievements in cultural progress in Beijing，and put forward relevant suggestions based on the general problems of cultural development.
