Since the reform and opening up,China's international position has risen with its hard power being strengthened on the one hand,but on the other hand,the international unfriendly voice has been causing a temporary clamor.On this background,to speed up the construction of the soft power is put on national schedule.The paper,taking overseas Chinese as its starting point,sums up the research achievements in the review of relevant fields both at home and abroad,then it summarizes some important academic views of the soft power,the deficiencies of previous analysis,and predicts the future research trend so as to provide research basis of how to enhance China's soft power level by using the special identity of overseas Chinese,and to make beneficial exploration and contribution to enriching the theory of the soft power of oversea Chinese. <<
