As Xicheng District being one of the central parts of the capital of China，Bureau of Justice of Xicheng District made corresponding changes and modifications in connection with the work of People’s Association for Mediation in an attempt to adapt to new circumstances under which civil disputes should be solved especially after the establishment of new Xicheng District.The aforementioned changes and modifications set up objectives and guidelines regarding transformation of the People’s Association for Mediation into the new form of working pattern with the trinity of functions including “Dispute mediation，Professional training，and Research on complex and difficult issues”.This article intends to analyze the circumstances and features of current civil disputes，means and effects of dispute resolutions conducted by Xicheng District through organization and conclusion of the work completed by People’s Association for Mediation dated from the establishment of the association in order to provide references for future civil disputes.
