As a new urban social management pattern，grid management has many advantages，such as regularity，clarity，high efficiency，creativity，comprehension and unification.From 2010 on，Dongcheng District，Beijing City began to practise grid social service management across the district，and Dongzhimen Street is one of the earliest streets to practise grid social service management in Dongcheng District.This essay tends to summarize the rough practice and methods of Dongzhimen Street grid social service management，analyse the problems confronted with by pushing on grid social service management pattern further，and thus present some thoughts about how to deepen Dongzhimen Street grid social service management pattern on the basis of a field work and case study on the practice of Dongzhimen Street grid social service management.
