This paper focuses on the relationship between housing problem and marital decisions of youth. Based on data of a survey on 5000 youth living in Beijing in 2013，this paper explores the subjective and objective mechanisms of how housing affecting marital decisions. The research finds out that in an objective sense，housing would affect marital decisions by influencing one’s economic and social status；while in a subjective sense，housing carries significance in making marital decisions for young people，but young women’s opinions of obtaining housing will diversify while they become more educated，valuing housing on the one hand and be flexible on making a purchase on housing on the other.
