Along with the spike of housing prices in recent years in our country，youth housing problem gradually appeared in parts of China. This article analyzes the reform of housing distribution system in China，discusses the characteristics and problems of the youth housing market before and after the market transition. Based on comparative analysis of housing markets both home and abroad，and the discussion of the situations before and after the housing system reform in our country，this article concludes：①The transformation of economic system in our country greatly resolved the youth housing problem；②The youth housing problem in some parts of China occurred mainly because of the excessive and housing consumption；③The renting rate of young people aging 18-34 and 35-44 years old in China is far below that of Britain or the United States，which may also be an important reason for the housing problems of young people in some parts of China.
