Promoting youth entrepreneurship has become increasingly important as the governments around the world seek to address youth unemployment，to adjust the structure of economic growth and to promote social innovation. The Chief Executive’s Policy Address in 2013 first proposed the creation of an interest-free loan scheme designed to help inspired young entrepreneurs who lack resources of financial support. By analysing the characteristics of youth entrepreneurship，the entrepreneurial environment of Macau and comparing similar policies with other territories，this article attempts to provide some feasible suggestions to policy makers on supporting youth entrepreneurship in Macau.
