Based on the importance of science popularization to scientific research，and its positive role of increasing the involvement of the public in science popularization，this report summarizes the experience of science popularization in developed countries such as Britain and the United States.The paper points out problems in current science popularization policies and mechanisms，and analyzes the pattern of science popularization in our science and technology projects.Finally，the paper offers some suggestions in six aspects-the application of projects，key supporting areas，responsibility，and evaluation of implementation，science popularization work formats and function of government.
