In 2012，Hefei （municipal districts） ranked the 1st in the increase of the total cultural and educational consumption among various key cities and the 1st in the growth of per capita value. The rankings of the status evaluation are as follows：in the lateral evaluation among key cities，Hefei ranked the 7th；in vertical evaluation itself，Hefei ranked the 1st，20th and 2nd during the periods of 2005-2012，2010-2012 and 2011-2012 respectively.
