In 2012，Qinghai ranked the 23rd in the increase of the total cultural consumption in urban and rural areas and the 24th in the growth of per capita value. The rankings of the status evaluation are as follows：in the lateral evaluation among various provinces，Qinghai ranked the 27th；in vertical evaluation itself，Qinghai ranked the 2nd，3rd，10th and 27th during the periods of 2000-2012，2005-2012，2010-2012 and 2011-2012 respectively.
