During the development process，Beijing generates a great variety of intangible cultural heritage，which is multi-ethnic and time-honored，with a high level of conservation value. In recent years，Beijing Government adopted a series of measures to improve the protection of the intangible cultural heritage in accordance with the spirit of the Law of Intangible Cultural Heritage. So far，the protection mechanism has initially established. Particularly in the area of inheritance mechanism and productive protection，a lot of practice has been taken and a lot of operational measures have been implemented. But it also faces many problems，such as the lost of inheritance people，the contradiction between the intangible cultural heritage and the urban development. So，it needs to adopt differential protection measures according to different situations.
