British social policy research is very important in the international academic fields. Understanding the latest research interests in British papers is conductive to grasp the international trend. Meanwhile，the problem-orientated and action-orientated features reflected in social policy research in the U.K.will provide a newer and more microcosmic perspective to think of China’s social problems.Based on two leading journals（Journal of Social Policy；Social Policy & Administration）in Britain，the author selects 73 papers published in 2011 and 2012 to illustrate the latest British social policy research progress. The review is divided into six parts to explain separately，including welfare to work，wealth distribution and poverty，social integration and exclusion，health and social care services，administration and policy implementation，theory and method developments.Finally this paper overally discusses about British social policy research progress and its implications to China.
