美国在引领了世界信息产业的两次浪潮以后，正在继续引领第三次浪潮：物联网。物联网起源于美国。美国拥有发展物联网的雄厚基础，不但在物联网三大核心技术上占据显著优势，而且拥有无可比拟的完整的物联网产业链。尽管美国的物联网发展不是由政府主导，但仍然得到了足够的重视。美国还在物联网的标准化方面占据主导地位。目前美国在物联网技术领域已经是硕果累累，不但开发出两个大规模的物联网平台，而且涌现出一大批物联网产品。本文从平台、产品和趋势三方面介绍美国在物联网技术领域的开发和应用状况。
<<After leading the world’s first two waves of the information & communication technology industry，the United States is still the world leader of the third wave：Internet of Things （IOT）. IOT was coined by USA. USA has a strong foundation for the development of IOT，not only due to the fact that USA masters all three key techniques，but also due to the fact that its industry chain of IOT is complete. USA has paid enough attention to IOT although IOT is not a strategic concern for the Obama Administration. USA also dominates the international standardization of Internet of Things. USA has made great achievements in IOT，including two large-scale IOT platforms and a lot of consumer products for IOT. This paper presents the state of the art and practice of IOT in USA from three aspects：platforms，consumer products and specific trends.
