The thinking logic，historical role and discourse mode of Western civilization centrism have their limitations，faults and perplexity. At the present，in the face of enormous challenges brought by the spread of Western civilization centrism with a global scope，we need not only to make a clear distinction between the advanced Western civilization theory and Western civilization centrism，between the study of Western civilization achievements and the blind worship of Western civilization. Confidence in oar values will serve as abasis for building socialist civilization with Chinese characteristics and by reference to Western civilization.
