This paper analyzed news reports about the elderly population from 2003 to 2012 Baidu （http：//news.baidu.com/） via content analysis method，to explore changes in the representation of the image of elderly for this decades in the Netnews，aimed to acknowledge how the net media reproduce the image of the elderly population. The study found that：Issues concerning the elderly in the Netnews are getting attention，showing a trend of diversification；the proportion of the reports showing negative image of elderly has risen，the performance of the elderly reported decline in the proportion of good quality. The overall image of the elderly tends to be one-sided and stereotypical. With the change of socio-cultural and technological，older people which was been reported，became lack the right to speak and“the other”in the Netnews. The old-age social status has been revered came tumbling down.
