本文选取牙买加、巴巴多斯、特立尼达和多巴哥、伯利兹及东加勒比国家组织中的6个正式成员国作为加勒比国家中的首批撰写国家。2007年，加勒比国家政局总体稳定，但一些国家执政党的力量弱小，政策难以通过和施行。大多数国家已经或将提前举行大选。加勒比国家经济仍以农业、矿业、加工业和旅游业为主。特立尼达和多巴哥是加勒比国家中的最大经济体。加勒比国家普遍存在失业率高、犯罪活动和毒品交易猖獗等社会问题。
<<In 2007 political situations in the Caribbean were stable.But some of the ruling parties in the sub-region could not get their policies approved by the parliament.Many countries held general elections in a fair and peaceful way.The economy continues to rely on agriculture，mining，assembling and tourism. Unemployment rate remains high and crimes and drug trafficking are still the major problems in most of the countries in the sub-region.
