An urban regeneration project was carried out by Mori Building Group in Roppongi of the central Tokyo in 1986. The project,as a three-dimensional urban center,lasted for 17 years and consisted of office buildings,shopping complexes,museums,theatres,hotels,conference centers,residential buildings,teaching buildings,media buildings and parks. It is a group of buildings of high density and multiple functions such as working,living and tourism. Because of the project Roppongi has become a CBD with cultural landmark and the most vibrant district of Tokyo. The urban regeneration of Roppongi has demonstrated the significance of compact,comprehensive and large urban public space.
