In 2013，the food industry in Henan grows steadily and rapidly. The growth rate rebound smoothly，which is faster than the average level of the whole province’s industrial growth. The pace of transformation and industrial restructuring is accelerating. The investment of food industry is more optimistic. What’s more，the exhibition economy is of great importance in the development of food industry. However，the fluctuation of raw material price has a significant impact on the food industry. In the future，the development priorities of the food industry in Henan consists of improving the level of industrialization of food，accelerating the pace of internationalization of the market，attaching great importance to consumer branding，promoting industrial integration actively，accelerating enterprise information，strengthening the standardization of raw materials. Finally，the paper gives some suggestions on the development of the food industry in Henan.
