Analyzing the new trends，characteristics and their motivation of the sports development in developed countries，this research explores the direction and pathway of reformation of China’s sports governance.There has been a tendency for government in many developed countries to become increasingly involved in sports promotion and development in recent years，including setting the sport policy agenda，placing more emphasis on elite sports by central governments，and provision of sports public goods.The division of labor is relatively clear between central and local government，with the formation of a hierarchical and decentralized management.
