The Project on Facilitating Women’s NGOs in China through the Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women（CEDAW）Shadow Report Process is a practice in China to legislate gender equality and non-discrimination requirements. This project brings together national and international experts to assess the capacity of the Government on the promotion of law and policy to solve the gender equality issue realistically and objectively. Meanwhile，the project is to strengthen the connection between the government and non-governmental organizations，and non-governmental organizations themselves. We suggest the following approaches，such as enhancing the strength of promotion and advocation on building sustainable partnerships between government and non-governmental organizations；and utilizing international experience and resources to promote the CEDAW in China.
