This paper analyzes women’s political participation in the People’s Congress and the village committees of Heilongjiang Province，Hunan Province and Shanxi Province，as well as policy and social environment for women’s participation. The study finds that the rate of women’s political participation and influence on policy is still low，and there is an urgent need to improve the policy and social environment for women’s political participation. Based on this analysis，the paper proposes strategy to improve women’s political participation and optimize the policy and social environment.
