In 2012, China's economic growth has experienced significant downward pressure. However, the slow-down of economic growth does not have significant impact on the employment situation. On the one hand, workers' wage gradually increases, accompanied with the upcoming reform plan on income distribution. Furthermore, the collection and payment of employees' social insurance were carried out smoothly. Also, we basiclly achieved full coverage of the old-age pension system for both rural and urban residents. New laws and regulations relating to labor protection have come into effect , with a significant improvement of occupational safety. On the other hand, the amount of labor disputes keeps at a stable level with slight increase. New working class and the new blue-collar workers become the pillar of contemporary labor force, whose situation and requirement should be understood and attended to. The establishment of collective labor relation and coordinative mechanism makes great progress in recent years, where the promotion of collective negotiation is the highlight of current labor relationship regulation. In general, the reasons that the employment situation is stabilized even under the economic slow-down can be attributed to both the reversal of the demand-and-supply of the labor market and the positive impact of policies relating to the establishment of harmonious labor relationship.
