Chinese Residents' Quality of Life Survey is an annual tracking survey program that has been launched by Horizon Research Consultancy Group since 1993.The paper finds that, based on data analysis, the life satisfaction of urban residents maintains stable over these years. This year's survey shows that, on the one hand, micro level indices such as personal income, occupation, social insurance and consumption confidence have pulled up the satisfaction level effectively. However, on the other hand, people's price tolerance maintains at a low level, accompanied by prevailing economic stress and continuous increase of anxiety over the old-age pension support.Furthermore, the public has a strong perception over issues such as lack of credibility in commercial field, polarization between the rich and the poor, and the uncertainty over social stability.Nevertheless, the public maintains high recognition and acknowledgement towards the nation's development orientation, coupled with strong confidence to government management. In addition, they also express concern on territorial dispute, with high level of confidence and positive evaluation over the government's diplomatic performance.
