In 2012,the state continued to emphasize the importance of anti-corruption work,and put forward higher requirements of anti-corruption.High incidents of public opinion events of anti-corruption has had a profound impact on the Chinese society in its transition period.This report has found that in 2012,the number of public opinion incidents concerning anti-corruption and advocating honesty and the attention from the media and net citizen were higher than in 2010 and in 2011;in 2012,high incidence of public opinion events occurred in December;Guangdong and Beijing became the public opinion-prone regions in 2012;local government anti-corruption ranked first in the proportion of public opinion,but were on the decline year by year from 2010 to 2012;the proportion of public opinion events involving government ministry offices was in the increase compared with the previous two years;in 2012,information concerning public opinion incidents concerning anti-corruption and advocating honesty spread rapidly,and the time difference between occurrence and exposure has significantly shortened;in 2012,the majority of public opinion events were those that last less than a week,but it was those lasting two weeks to one month that aroused the most attention from the media and the public;in 2012,news conferences became more actively involved during public opinion events concerning anti-corruption and advocating honesty. <<
