The year 2010 saw active and dynamic moves in the RK’s competitive sports. In February，the RK participated in the 21st Winter Olympics in Vancouver and attained a record-breaking rank of 5th，best in history. In June，the RK’s National Male Football Team to the South Africa World Cup achieved the expected goals by entering the 1/8 final. In November，the RK took part in the 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou，China and obtained the 2nd place for 4 times running. What is more，the RK’s bidding for 2022 World Cup，disappointing though，was still one of major events of sports. This paper aims at providing comments on these events and an analysis into their implications for Pyeongchang’s bidding for the Olympic Games，together with the 2011 Asian Cup and the 2014 Asian Games at Incheon.
