Promoting Green Employment benefits eco development, shift of economic growth pattern, and improvement of employment quantity, quality and sustainability, and bears upon the economic and social progress in China. China promotes Green Employment mainly by making rules and policies, engaging in academic studies, conducting international cooperation, makings survey and studies, providing training and education and making pilot tests in localities. However, the current economic growth stage and means constrain the Green Employment greatly with the mechanisms, institutions and regulations yet to be established to promote Green Employment. The thesis recommends establishing the Green Employment working system consisting of Green Employment policies, promotions, fiscal, tax and financial regulations, public employment service, education and training, green industries and vocational standards, identification of green vocational skills, pilot tests in localities, safeguarding rights and interests of those working in green industries, and long-term mechanism of international cooperation and coordination.
