Based on the data gained from surveys on employment quality in 14 Chinese provinces, and utilizing the European Foundation employment quality evaluation indicator system, the thesis studies the employment quality in China. The research finds out that employment quality in China is quite regional, meaning the quality in East China is better than that in West China and the quality in West China is a little bit higher than that in Central China. However, the overall quality of employment in the country is not quite high. By shifting economic growth pattern, deepening market-oriented reform, establishing efficient and integrated labor force market, increasing the proportion of personal incomes in GDP, and raising the proportion of labor remunerations in primary income distribution, we can realize high-quality employment at relatively low cost and high rate in the new period.
