Social changes and important roles that youth will be playing in the future development encourage broader and greater participation of youth in society.This research demonstrates that youth have a high level of political participation;the political participation online is more active than ever with the characteristic feature of independency and autonomy;volunteer participation and its motive are tending to be mature and rational with a clear tendency of volunteer services developing into communities;youth have a strong inclination to participate by self-organization,and take actions vigorously.At the same time,it is indicated that youth political participation is short of broadness and depth,that volunteer participation needs sustainable motive,and that the space for youth self-organization is limited.Suggestions based on these findings are offered. <<
