The government of Beijing has paid more attention to the social assistance for the low-income population. In 2011,the government increased the investment and improved the standard of assistance,meanwhile,enhancing the management and service process. The system of social assistance became better and more scientific in Beijing. The article analyses the practice of the social assistance system and discusses the trend of development in the future. Some suggestions on policy have been pointed out to improve the development of the institution of social assistance in Beijing. <<
