The construction of digital government is the basic and leading project to build a strong network and digital China，and it is becoming the key force to drive the development of digital economy and digital society. During the 14th five-year plan period，all parts of the country have a deep understanding of the era background and evolution trend of digital government，and have a comprehensive grasp of the direction of the development trend of digital government construction，as a positive initiative to promote the modernization of the government governance system and governance capacity. This paper expounds the present situation and problems of the construction of digital government in Sichuan Province，probes into the goals and development ideas of the construction of digital government in the next step，and on the basis of fully drawing lessons from the construction experiences of developed countries and regions，some suggestions are put forward，such as improving top-level design，building a long-term mechanism for data sharing，improving the efficiency of government digital management services，and optimizing the construction of ecological system of digital government.
