In the context of the rapid development of the digital economy，the important thing for us is how to seize the opportunity to maintain the development advantages of the electronic information industry and continue to drive economic growth. firstly，we analyzes the status of electronic information industry in Sichuan Province from four aspects：industrial structure scale，key development areas，and regional development differences. Then，the prominent contradictions and problems in the electronic information industry in Sichuan Province were further explored. Finally，in view of the current situation and problems，suggestions and countermeasures are put forward，one is to accelerate the construction of 5G networks and coordinated industrial development，the second is to strive for the layout of major national industries，the third is to increase investment in the electronic information industry，the fourth is to accelerate the gathering and cultivation of “high-precision and top-notch” talents and high-level innovation and entrepreneurship teams，the fifth is to promote the modernization and integrated development of the entire industrial chain of the electronic information industry，and the sixth is to formulate reference indicators for cleaner production and strengthen the binding entry threshold for enterprises to settle down.
