At present，the vigorous development of digital economy has become a global development consensus. In order to seize the opportunity of digital development and seize the strategic highland of digital economy，countries around the world are actively arranging digital infrastructure represented by data centers. Since our country started the project of “East-number-west-calculation”，the construction of data center cluster has been quickened in many places，which is devoted to cultivating the ecology of data center development and laying a solid foundation for digital economy. This paper comprehensively combs the development background and evolution course of the data center，analyzes the basic situation and problems of the development of the data center in Sichuan Province，and at the same time，based on the unique innate advantages of Sichuan province，some suggestions are put forward，such as guiding the rational layout of data centers，perfecting the industrial ecology of data centers，strengthening the technological R&D and Innovation，and strengthening the network transmission ability，etc.，we will further accelerate the convergence of data center clusters in Sichuan.
